Dr. andrea petersen
Dr. Andrea began seeing a chiropractor in Calgary at the age of 15 when she was a member of the Canadian Junior National Luge Team. She found relief from her injuries as well as improvement in her sport performance following chiropractic treatment. This was her inspiration for pursuing a career in chiropractic. She went on to study biological science at the University of Calgary followed by the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Upon graduating, she provided locum coverage in rural Alberta and British Columbia. She went on to open a practice in Prince George while she served as a Director of Northern Health Region on the BC Chiropractic Association Board of Directors for 3 years before moving back to Calgary.
Her approach helps patients achieve long-term wellness and improve physical health and performance. She offers 40 minute initial appointments with treatment, and 10 or 20 minute subsequent treatments. Her specialties include manual adjusting, manual and instrument assisted soft tissue techniques, kinesiology taping, Shockwave therapy, and Activator Method (a gentle non-force technique to improve joint function and decrease pain). Her mission is to help improve people's health and wellness through evidence-informed chiropractic care and advice.
Dr. Andrea also practices out of Spring Hill Chiropractic in Calgary. If you're ever in need of a treatment while in Calgary, feel free to pop by!
