Mental Health Counselling
Mental health therapy is an integral part of overall wellness. While many may seek out therapy for assistance in managing crisis situations (relationship breakdown, assault) others may seek therapy for growth and actualization. Regardless of your reason for seeking therapy, and regardless of your therapist's background or clinical orientation, the goal of your therapist will be to use their expertise in human development, emotions, and behaviour, to help you alleviate any suffering and assist you in creating change in your life.
Working with a licensed therapist can help you develop insights into your challenges, learn coping skills to manage your difficulties and create a new level of self understanding. A licensed therapist's approach will depend on their unique training and qualifications, but one thing is consistent across the entire helping profession: a therapist is there for you as an empathetic, non judgemental support and advocate for you and to help you reach your goals.
