BreathWork
Breathwork refers to a variety of techniques that focus on consciously manipulating the breath to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being. How we breathe shapes how we feel, our mindset, our energy levels and how our physical body functions.
Breathwork typically involves rhythmic breathing patterns, controlled breathing exercises, and deep, intentional breathing to regulate the nervous system, increase oxygenation, reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance mindfulness and self-awareness. Breath work practices have been used for centuries in various cultures and traditions, and are now gaining popularity as a form of alternative or complementary therapy for a range of health issues. Bringing awareness to your breathing patterns and learning how to modify and enhance them can be a highly effective way to support your healing process.
your breath is your anchor.

This is a combined set of 2 sessions. 1st session is a 30-minute breathwork consultation to discuss your specific needs and desired outcomes and review the type of breathwork we will be doing together. 2nd session is a 75-minute of guided breathwork session. We work together on guiding your breath in a specific altered breathing pattern (three part conscious circular breathing) which is focused on accessing your deep emotions, decreasing stress, anxiety and overwhelm, and reconnecting you to your true self. I will be curating a music list specific to your desired outcomes based on our first meeting. This type of breathwork can be very powerful in allowing deep releases of stuck emotions, awareness and clarity of your true potential and connection with purpose.

Conscious breathing brings awareness to the way we engage with the external world and recharge our bodies. Breath, as prana, is the source of life. How we breathe shapes how we feel, our mindset, our energy levels and how our physical body functions. Depending on the style of breathwork, it can be used to regulate (calm) the nervous system and reduce the effects of stress on the body. Deep conscious breathwork sessions use guided altered breath patterns to release deep emotions, find clarity, decrease stress, anxiety and overwhelm, and improve circulation and digestion.

Yes, absolutely. All sessions can be done remotely. For the consultation, we can connect on the phone or Zoom (video or just audio). For the breathwork assessment and deep breathwork session, we will connect on Zoom video for the sessions. Some clients prefer to be at home in a cozy space, if you have one where you can be uninterrupted and comfortably laying down. You may want to lay on a yoga mat and have a blanket or other comfort items (eye mask, bolster, pillow) handy. It is helpful to have headphones to be able to focus on our conversation.

For the deep breathwork session (the 2nd one where you will be guided into the conscious breathwork style), please do not eat for 90 minutes to 2 hours prior to the session so you can focus on breathing not digesting. You may want to use headphones for the breathwork sessions, but I find as long as your can get the volume loud enough on your speakers it works well. We will go over all of this at your first breathwork session. Just be open and let the magic happen!

Unfortunately no, this is not a service that is covered by insurance companies. Some clients have been able to use the health spending account (a part of an insurance plan) to use towards these services. You may also choose to submit these receipts under medical expenses for your tax returns, however please check with your accountant and the area you live in to verify.
